Your first recording

Step by step

1. Click the Spellar icon in your menu bar (macOS) or open the app (iOS).
2. Hit the big record button. Spellar starts capturing your mic + system audio immediately — no bot joins.

1. Have your meeting normally. Spellar runs in the background.
2. When you're done, click Stop. The recording uploads and processing starts.
3. Within ~30 seconds, you'll see the transcript. The summary follows within a minute, depending on length.

What gets captured

• Your microphone (your voice)
• System audio (everyone else on the call, through speakers or headphones)
• Auto-detected meeting metadata when a calendar event matches

<aside> ⚠️ FaceTime and phone calls on your iPhone don't reach your Mac — record those on the iOS app instead.

If audio is missing

1. Open System Settings → Sound and confirm the Spellar audio driver is enabled.
