🍎 macOS

Spellar is a native Mac app, optimized for Apple Silicon and Intel.

1. Download from spellar.ai or the Mac App Store.
2. Open the app and sign in with Apple, Google, or email.
3. Grant microphone, screen recording, and accessibility permissions when prompted.
4. System audio capture is set up automatically. You'll see a small status icon in the menu bar.

<aside> ℹ️ Spellar requires macOS 15.0 (Sequoia) or newer. On older systems, use the legacy 2.x builds on our website.

📱 iOS

Spellar for iPhone and iPad records voice memos, in-person meetings, and calls captured on your phone.

1. Get Spellar from the App Store.
2. Sign in with the same account you use on Mac — your recordings sync automatically.
3. Grant microphone access on first use.

🌐 Web

The web app at app.spellar.ai is for browsing, sharing, and editing recordings — not for capturing audio. Use a native app for recording.
