Data Collection and Usage

Spellar AI does not store any user data on its servers. We don't collect device identifiers or personal information. Our plugin merely sends a trigger to the main desktop Spellar AI app to prompt the user if they want to start recording.

Permissions

To function effectively, Spellar AI requires specific permissions and host permissions. For security reasons, we ask for the narrowest permissions possible while still providing the full functionality of our plugin. These permissions are:

• tabs: This permission enables Spellar AI to interact with browser tabs where it's activated. It's crucial for the extension to function as it needs to activate and communicate with the main Spellar AI desktop application upon user command.
• storage: This permission allows Spellar AI to utilize your browser's local storage for temporary data storage necessary for its operation. We do not use this for storing any personal or sensitive data.
• host permissions: This permission is required for Spellar AI to interact with specific websites, including Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, and Workplace. These permissions are used strictly for the purpose of sending a trigger to the main Spellar AI desktop app for starting the recording when the user initiates Spellar AI on these platforms. Take note that we do not collect or handle any personal information or data from these permissions.

Data Duration

As we do not collect personal information, there is no retention period applicable.

Opt-Out Policy

You can opt out at any time by uninstalling our extension.

Sharing and Commerce

We do not sell, barter, or share any personally identifiable data for commercial gain.

Advertising

We do not share your personal data with advertisers.

Law Enforcement

We will cooperate with law enforcement authorities as required by law. However, as we do not collect or store any personal user data, the possibility of us having to share data with law enforcement is extremely unlikely.
